Even after over 160 years, the descendants of Laxmi Das Pradhan continue to live in the same house. With well-known hill stations namely, Darjeeling and Kalimpong, neighboring Turuk, the Kothi is a half an hour drive away from Melli Bazaar—the gateway to Sikkim. Melli itself is a two and a half hour drive from Bagdogra, the nearest airport.
